Earth Commons Founder, Clinical Herbalist
Caroline Caswell is a western folk herbalist, artist, and educator, living in Austin, Texas. Her herbal practice focuses on bioregional medicinals and thoughtful interactions with plant life and ecology. She is an advocate for affordable and accessible healthcare for all people. Having personally experienced the shortcomings of allopathic medicine, she believes in welcoming community-based wellness that supports those who are underserved by the capitalist, racist and patriarchal society we live in. Caroline devotes her energy as a forever learner and listener of the plants and the people who hold them dear.
Upon completing the Clinical Program at the Wildflower School of Botanical Medicine, she spent four years building her client-base and working in the Education department at the American Botanical Council. Here she deepened her herbal studies and earned her way into Medicinal Horticulture through working with their diverse medicinal herb gardens, extensive herbal library, and frequent visitors of the herbal kind. She currently teaches for the Wildflower School of Botanical Medicine and runs an apothecary line called Sun Buddy.
Caroline co-founded Earth Commons with Brandi Jo Perkins and is excited to be of service to Austin.
